Accountability Body at full strength again

Four seats recently became vacant on the Accountability Body. We were looking for three new members to represent pensioners and one to represent employees. The employee representative was automatically elected. The new members will now introduce themselves to you.

Time to act if you are retiring soon

Employees who started working at DOW prior to 2014 are currently building up a pension under the average earnings scheme with the Limited Backservice. Your pension amount is based on your average salary (up to a maximum annual salary of €128,810) and your duration of service at DOW.

Take our member satisfaction survey

We invite you to participate in a survey, which is open from mid March to Friday 7 April inclusive. We asked:

  • how involved you were in administering your pension: whether you actively manage it or not; whether you take responsibility for your own pension or not;
  • your opinion on how we communicate with you, such as this PensionUpdate, our website, or emails about the coverage ratio;
  • about your experience with our customer service;
  • for your ideas on using additional resources.

How do pensions work if you live abroad?

If you move abroad, your pension pay-out require more data. For instance please inform us if you change address, whether moving abroad or within the Netherlands.

State pension age will be raised by three months

In 2023 you will start to receive AOW when you reach an age of 66 and 10 months. For the next three years (2024, 2025 and 2026) the AOW starting age is fixed at 67 years. There after the AOW starting age will increase with the life expectance (reference point 2025) in the ratio of 3 months for each full year (4.5 months) increase in lifetime expectance.
