This year, all the new arrangements concerning the new pension scheme will become clear to SDPF. The fund recently received the transition plan from the social partners. The board carefully reviewed the content of this plan and later informed the employer that they take a positive view and will start the necessary preparations.
At the end of February, the Fund's website shared what the impact of the new legislation will be. This is called the transition plan. The transition plan describes how the current pension scheme at SDPF will be handled. The new pension scheme for Dow employees will be placed with another external pension provider from 1 January 2028, so will not be administered by SDPF. The transition plan also explains how the pension entitlements and pension rights accrued up to the transition date will be dealt with.
