Status of investigation into insurance of pension entitlements
As reported in the April 2025 newsletter, SDPF is currently exploring the possibility of fully insuring all pension entitlements. This would mean completely eliminating risks such as investment and longevity risk. Dow's social partners are in consultation on the matter. The SDPF Board is awaiting the outcome of these consultations before taking further steps.
Selection of pension provider for the new pension scheme
The social partners are also in the process of selecting an administrator for the new pension scheme. Once this process is complete, the employer will share the outcome.
No change for non-contributory members and pensioners
As reported in January this year, Dow has chosen not to enter The New Pension System. This means that the entitlements of non-contributory members and pensioners remain unchanged.
