How to build up tax-friendly savings for your pension

You can build up your own tax-friendly pension outside our fund – provided your pension accrual has not reached its maximum. To do this, you need to know your Factor A. This refers to the pension that you accrued last year, as stated on your Uniform Pension Overview (UPO).

Using your annual allowance

It is a good idea to set aside your own money for additional income for when you retire. One way to do that is to use your annual allowance: the amount remaining after deducting your Factor A from the maximum tax-free amount, which you can use to top up your pension tax-free.
